Hosapete: BJP President J. P. Nadda on Sunday April 17 alleged that recent communal violence at yatras taken out on Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti is a “conspiracy” to cause social disintegration, accusing the Congress of acting in a “most irresponsible” manner.
Speaking to party members at a State executive meeting, he linked the related the violence to the recent results of five State Assembly elections, in which the BJP performed well. “Some people have been shaken by the BJP’s historic victory in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur. As a result, they have associated themselves with the conspiracies of those who want to disintegrate society out of desperation. As a result, there have been attacks on Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami processions,” he said.
Slamming the Congress, he claimed that the former Siddaramaiah government had freed members of the PFI, a Muslim organisation that several BJP officials have accused of instigating extremism and violence.
“Our government will take action against the culprits. The Congress in power lets off terrorists. Internally, it befriends disintegrating forces but pretends to be something else outside. It is essential that they be exposed,” the BJP leader added.
