Vijayanagara: Harahara Panchamasali Peetham President Sri Vachanananda Sri said that Hakkotthaya Sammelan is already being held in all districts of the State for 2A reservation for Panchamasali.
Speaking to mediapersons in the City on Saturday November 12, he said, “We are holding mass awareness meetings in all the districts of the State. As part of this, Panchamasali Sammelan is being held at Vijayanagara to put pressure on the Government, he said.
He said “two years ago, the ethnographic study report came and the SC and ST communities got the benefit of reservation. At present, a ethnographic study is underway for 2A reservation for Veerashaiva Panchamasali Lingayats.”
He added Jayaprakash Hegde has to submit the report of the ethnographic study to the Government. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has promised to announce reservation after the report reaches the Government.
He further assured “The Government has our own people, the CM, the minister and we have faith in them.” He expressed confidence that 2A reservation will be available soon.
