Vijayanagara: A 9-feet-tall bronze statue of Dr B. R. Ambedkar, who gave a great constitutional gift to the country, will be constructed at Ambedkar Circle in the City on the lines of Parliament, said Tourism Minister Anand Singh.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for a new bronze statue of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and new circle in the B. R Ambedkar Circle on Friday December 9 he said a 9-feet-tall bronze statue of Dr. Ambedkar will be unveiled on the lines of Parliament House. This is first statue in the State, he said.
“This has been made possible due to the blessings of Hampi Virupaksheshwara and also due to the effect of Vijayanagara land. In the new District, everything has become exemplary work. An Ambedkar Circle will be a model. He said the work will be completed by the end of February and model Ambedkar Circle will come up in the City.
