Bengaluru: A nurse from Yadagir, who suffered a relapse of Covid-19 has died on Thursday, October 1.
She is the first person in the entire country to died after Covid-19 reinfection
According to the health department authorities, Geetha (32), a nurse from Kaulur village is the deceased.
According to her medical records, she was infected with Covid-19 a month ago. However, she was cured and later tested negative.
She rejoined duty on September 19 and on September 29, she tested positive again and was admitted to hospital. On October 1 she died due to breathing related problems.
Health minister B Sreeramulu has condoled her death and has assured all the support for her family.
