Yadgir: At present, children are giving importance only to getting high marks. In addition, you should try to understand how society functions, said Karnataja Pradesh Congress Committee Working President and MLA Satish Jarakiholi.
He was speaking after inaugurating the centenary celebrations of DDU Arts, Commerce and Science College, Shahapur in the premises of DDU International School in Vadagera Town. He said, “When you come to the outside world, your experience and performance will mattersl more than your marks.” He asserted how Meti has made great strides by imparting education at the village level. He then said that “I have come here to see his education revolution and to follow his achievements.”
“Today’s children need to be aware of the superstitions practiced in society. The construction of any religious place cannot take children to a higher position, he said and added that children should not only develop rational thinking but also emphasise on discipline and punctuality.
