KRS Reservoir water level just a feet below max limit

Mandya: The water level at KRS Reservoir is just a feet away from reaching its maximum limit following heavy rains in the region  since last two weeks.

The reservoir which is the lifeline of lakhs of farmers  has enough water and thus has eased tension of
farmers about their water requirement. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and  District In-Charge Minister Narayana Gowda
offered special pooja few days ago when the reservoir did not fill with water as anticipated. Famous astrologer Dr. Bhanuprakash Sharma and team had performed Parjanya
homa for rains.

The reservoir has storage capacity of 49.452 TMCs of
water of which 47.512 TMC is filled now. The reservoir recorded 17,341 cusecs
of inflow. The reservoir would fill to maximum level, state officials.
The reservoir has a height of 124.80 feet of which 123.60 is filled with water so far.
