40 kgs plastic pulled out from dead cattle’s stomach!

Chikkamagaluru: Just a couple of days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken about how cattle on streets are dying due to aftermath of plastic consumption. He made this statement to condemn cow vigilantism. However, an incident that holds mirror to PM’s Modi statement took place in Chikkamagaluru on Wednesday.
Shocking but true, about 40 kgs of plastic was retrieved from the corpse of a cattle that  had died after being run over by a KSRTC bus.

The cattle belonging to Mahesh from Kadur succumbed to injuries that it suffered during the mishap. Its stomach was torn open due to the accident and as it laid in pool of blood that oozed from the stomach, came out a black plastic bag.

The onlookers who spotted this called upon a veterinary doctor, who on reaching the spot started pulling out waste from the stomach. To everyone’s surprise the doctor pulled out as much as 40 kgs of plastic bag that remained undigested inside the cattle’s stomach.

Plastic sheets that are laid on dinning tables in wedding halls and smalls plastic bags used to pack chutney and sambhar were seen in the waste. The cattle had delivered a calf only 10 days ago, it is said.
