Chikkamagaluru: As many as 57 students of a state-run tribal school at Basrikatte in Koppa taluk have been infected by Chicken Pox and with the advice from the doctors, the school authorities have sent all the ailing children to their native place to avoid spreading of the infection.
One hundred children are studying in the residential school for children belonging to tribal communities, where classes are run up to fifth standard.
These students come from far away places. The 57 children were affected by chicken pox in the last three-four days, sources said, who added that first the infection was seen in one or two students but it soon spread to 57 students.
As of now only, 43 children are left in the school.
