Chikkamagaluru: Beneficiary meet to be held across State

Chikkamagaluru: District In-Charge Minister Byrati Basavaraj said that a meeting of beneficiaries is being held in all the Districts across the State to know whether the State Government’s facilities have reached the people.

It Is the resolve of the Central and State Governments that Government schemes, facilities and privileges should reach the last person in the society and that too at their doorsteps. If the benefits have not reached all the beneficiaries, they will be compulsorily delivered to them, he said.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “Today Rs. 25.75 Crore is being disbursed symbolically to 5,000 people, Rs. 53.94 Crore is being disbursed to 3596 people under the Rural Housing Scheme and benefits are being distributed to 4000 by local bodies including Municipal Corporations. It is our resolve to provide clean drinking water to the people under the Jagjivan Ram Project so that the work is being carried out in the District at a cost of Rs. 2.5 thousand Crore. Those benefits are being distributed to 5,000 people symbolically here and 64 ambulances are being provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Benefits are being given by the Labour Department Rs. 2.86 Crore to 600 people from the Agriculture Department, Rs. 1.3 Crore to 700 people from the Horticulture Department, Rs. 24 Lakh from the Animal Husbandry Department and a total of Rs. 3,753 Crore from all the departments including the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Department, and Backward Classes Department.

If the Central Government gives Rs. 6000 to the farmers account the State Government is depositing Rs. 10,000 including Rs. 4,000 to it. He said that lakhs of rupees have been given as compensation to those whose houses have been damaged by the rain floods and those whose crops have been damaged.
