Chikkamagaluru: More than 80 BJP Leaders from across the State left the party and joined the Cong on the evening of Wednesday March 29 under the leadership of the Block Congress, accepting the Congress ideology in Mallanahalli, Toorhankal and Dasarahalli Gram Panchayats in the Taluk of the District.

Speaking on the occasion, Block Congress President H. P. Manjegowda said that the BJP Governments at the Centre and in the State have skyrocketed the prices of daily commodities used by the labourers, the poor, the farmers and the downtrodden.

Senior Leader K. Mohammed said that if every leader works hard to make the Congress Party win in the upcoming Assembly elections, a strong Government can be formed in the State and public issues can be resolved.
