Chikkamagaluru: District Congress Committee President Dr. K. P. Anshumath recalled that whenever any programme was organised in the District, late Dhruvanarayan used to take part in the programme and give suggestions related to the party and used to think about the party’s organisation.

He was speaking at a meeting of Block Congress and District Congress Committees at the District Congress Office in the City to pay homage to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Working President and District In-Charge R. Dhruvanarayan, who passed away on Saturday March 11. “R. Dhruvanarayan was a gentleman, simple and brilliant politician. He was a great soul who always thought about the organisation of the party, having won everyone’s trust with his simplicity. He said Chikkamagaluru District, which has lost a stalwart leader, is now poor.

“The ideal values of R. Dhruvanarayan should be imbibed by everyone. He said Leaders and Workers should come forward to strengthen the party under the guidance laid down by him.

All India Congress Committee General Secretary B M Sandeep said, “R. Dhruvanarayan was doing a very good job no matter what the party work was. He was organizzing the Congress Party as an organising genius. His demise is an irreparable loss to the party,” he said.

Former District Congress president M. L. Murthy said that R. Dhruvanarayan came into politics in his student days. He described R. Dhruvanarayan as a great leader who preached a good message in a democratic set-up.

Former District Congress President Dr. D. L. Vijayakumar said that R. Dhruvanarayan and Mahadeva Prasad were good politicians. Both of them have a simple personality. He said he was a leader who had served in top positions in the party and earned the reputation of being a good MP.

District Congress General Secretary M. C. Shivanandaswamy said that R. Dhruvanarayan had a strong heart. His death is an irreparable loss to the District Congress and may God give his family the strength to bear the loss,” he said.
