Chikkamagaluru: District Congress Leaders have demanded that the Party High Command should allow Former Minister and Senior Party Leader Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa to contest from one of the Assembly Constituencies in the State.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committe Coordinator and District Congress Committe Secretary Hiremagaluru Ramachandra said that the untimely death of former MP Dhruvanarayana is an irreparable loss to the party. He was a strong ticket aspirant from Nanjanagudu Reserved Constituency in Mysuru District.
Former Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa was also a ticket aspirant from the same Constituency. He has done a good job as a low-profile Minister in the Siddaramaiah Government.
Dhruvanarayana’s son Darshan has been generous in giving the Nanjanagudu seat to him. It is in this context that H. C. Mahadevappa should be given an opportunity to contest from any one of the Constituencies in the State.
“We are demanding this from KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar, Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge.
