Chikkamagaluru: The decade-long dispute at Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudan Dargah is likely to be resolved soon, which has been corroborated by the statement of MLA C. T. Ravi.
The Sri Guru Dattatreya Baba Budan Dargah controversy has been pending in the court for many years and recently the High Court had directed to resolve the issue at the Government level regarding the appointment of priests. Accordingly, the State Government had constituted a cabinet committee. The committee visited Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudan Dargah in the District and inspected it and received public representations. After that, no development was noticed by the people.
However, at the BJP’s Jana Sankalpa Yatra in Kadur Town on Tuesday November 15, MLA C. T. Ravi raising the issue of Sri Guru Dattatreya Bababudan Dargah asserted that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will work to do justice to Dattapeetha. He said that an order to do justice to Dattapeetha will come within this week that is by Saturday November 19.
