Chikkamagaluru: In a tragic incident, a woman and her daughter drowned in Vaddarahalli lake in the Taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Shobha (40) and Varsha (8). Her son Chetan, who was with him, escaped unhurt.
The incident took place when the cow had gone to graze. The mother and children used to cross the lake where the water level was less.
When her daughter went to a spot where the water level was high and got stuck, her mother Shobha rushed to the rescue. During this time, they drowned in the water.
A case has been registered at Rural Police Station
