Chikkamagaluru: An operation has started to arrest mischievous elephant Baira, who has been creating havic in Bairapur of Mudigere Taluk.
The elephants that participated in Mysuru Dasara, Abhimanyu, Bhima, Gopal Swamy, Mahendra, Ajjaiah, Prashant have arrived and the operation to capture ‘Pundane’ Baira has started on Monday October 31.
District Forest Officer Kanti and Zonal Forest Officer Mohan Kumar were present at the spot.
