Chikkamagaluru: BJP National General Secretary and MLA C. T. Ravi said that the police’s action to arrest two persons in connection with the incident of throwing nails on Giri Road with the malafide intention of causing an accident of Datta devotees coming to the peetha on the occasion of Datta Jayanti is highly welcome.

He said that their intention was to disturb the harmony between Hindus and Muslims by committing such an act on the occasion of Datta Jayanti, a religious ritual of Hindus, and it is suspected that some other unseen hands were behind the act.

Since Datta Jayanti, which is celebrated for three days in December every year, was very successful, it is suspected that some anti-Hindu elements, who could not tolerate the success of Datta Jayanti this time, may have committed the act and demanded that these anti-social elements be identified and strict action should be taken against them.
