Chikkamagaluru: The two day Malnad ultra marathon organised by coffee day drew participants not only from India but abroad too.
The event was inaugurated by coffee day chief manager Chidambaram saw enthusiastic participants running through the narrow winding roads in areas around hill station Kemmanagundi and Lalbagh estates.
The mist cover over coffee estates and the lush green plantations provided ideal setting for the two day event where participants were seen running with lot of enthusiasm. Villagers standing on the edge of the roads were seen applauding the participants and encouraging them. Sportsmen from India and abroad, elderly and women took part in the marathon event which made the youth bow their heads in shame.
