Banakal: A honest police constable returned a bag containing valuables and cash here in Kottigehara here on January 5 after a couple lost it on the road.
Chidananda and Latha from Mavinakatte while moving from Moodigere to Koove in their bike, dropped the bag containing gold, cash and a mobile. Meanwhile, ASI Hanumanthappa of Balur station who was returning to Kottigehara after duty found the bag. Meantime, ASI got a call from Chidananda from a different number and asked him to come to Kottegehara to collect the bag.
The bag was then handed over to the couple in Kottigehara to much appreciation of the locals gathered there.
