Chikkamagaluru: Education Minister B. C. Nagesh on Friday April 22 said that there are no plans to close any Urdu schools in the State.

Speaking to mediapersons he said, “The State Government will not be closing any of the Urdu schools, rather, the schools will be consolidated to give better education. Apart from that, schools in Kannada, Tamil, and Marathi will be merged.”

He further said, “The first day of the PU examinations has begun today. For the past two years, there were no offline exams due to Covid-19. The students are all well-prepared this year, and I wish them the best of luck. The entire PU examination process will be monitored by police and CCTV cameras will be installed for round-the-clock surveillance,” he added.
