Our Govt committed to revive traditional art forms on the decline: Min Sunil Kumar

Chikkamagaluru: Energy, Kannada and Culture Minister V. Sunil Kumar said that the State Government has decided to revive all neglected traditional art forms of the State.

He was addressing the gathering at Antige-Pintige competition organised by the Adishankaracharya Sharada Lakshminarsimha Peetham, Shri Matha, Hariharapura here at Shringeri Assembly Constituency level. He said that the department is preparing a detailed proposal to revive all the art forms on the decline from all over the State. “Indian traditional practices help bring harmony and peace in the society, and hence our Government is committed to resurrect such art forms.”

Minister noted that Antige-Pintige is a traditional art form of Malenadu region, and added that he will soon instruct the department to hold such an event for teams from Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru Districts.
