Chikkamagaluru: A retired deputy tahsildar, who tested positive for Covid-19 here died of suicide after shooting himself in the head on Monday May 10.
The deceased has been identified as Soma Nayak and he killed himself in the car parked outside his house. The unfortunate incident occurred at Belenahalli Tandya of Tarikere taluk in the district.
The suicide note found states that he resorted to suicide out of fear of spreading the infection to his family.
