Hassan: Gujrat elections could mark the beginning of the downfall of Prime Minister Modi, predicted Janata Dal (S) Supremo and former prime minister H D Devegowda.
The people of Gujarat are seeking a change and both the national parties are involved in a bitter battle, said Devegowda, addressing media at Hassan and went on to predict that the change may eventually lead to the change of nation’s PM.
After the elections, many parties supporting NDA will distance themselves from it and Congress is unlikely to benefit in that scenario, he said.
Both parties are spending colossal amount of money to taste success in Gujarat elections and the party in power has stooped lowest in election ethics and its deeds reflect its action, said Devegowda taking a dig at BJP’s “Swacch Bharath” campaign.
In Karnataka, state leaders are busy in personal attacks forgetting the well being of the populace. Many other party leaders and their supporters have extended their support to JDS and its policies, he said adding that JDS would organise a rally at Vijayapura to highlight the problems of people in NK region.
