Hassan: The Gandhi Gram Puraskar for the year 2021 – 22, given to each Taluk, has been conferred on the Anughatta Gram Panchayat this year.
The Gandhi Grampuraskar, given to each Taluk by the Government of Karnataka, has been awarded to Anughatta Gram Panchayat of Belur Taluk for providing essential basic amenities to the rural people and for the innovative activities undertaken voluntarily by the Gram Panchayat and the programmes formulated by the Government from time to time and several measures to improve the quality of life of the people under the Panchayat limits, including cleanliness, progress in employment guarantee scheme, drinking water, toilets etc.
Anughatta Gram Panchayat President Deepu Bellavara, Vice-President Lalitha Kanaguppe, members and staff were present at the Gandhi Gram Puraskar and NREGA festival awards ceremony held at The Palace Grounds in Bengaluru.
