Hassan: Channarayapatna Police has arrested a person on charges of killing his wife and attempt to dispose the body off.
The accused is identified as Anand, a native of Channarayapatna. It is said that Anand married Dimple (28) five years ago, and the couple have a child. After the marriage the couple experienced rift and started living separately. However Dimple was visiting husband’s house to see the child. Anand told her not to come to the house but Dimple frequently use to visit the house.
On Monday December 5 Anand hatched a plan to kill Dimple and spokento her cordially and took her in an autorickshaw to Town outskirts. There he allegedly assaulted her with lethal weapon and killed her. After the murder he wrapped the body in a gunny bag and threw the body into lake. The morning walkers who saw the body floating on lake informed police.
Upon checking Anand tried to escape to Bangalore in a bus. Police chased the bus and arrested the accused. Police has registered a case and is investigating.
