Hassan: Infant carried in zero traffic for emergency treatment

Hassan: A three-day-old girl was taken by zero traffic in an ambulance in the morning on Sunday March 5 as a small hole was found in her heart which needed an urgent operation.

The second daughter of Hena Kausar and Parweez Pasha, who was born at a hospital in Arasikere, was advised to be taken to the District Government Hospital in Hassan City for further treatment after she developed a hole in her heart.

She was taken in an ambulance vehicle at 8.00 am as advised by doctors to Jayadeva Hospital from here.

Madhu, an ambulance driver, told the media that he had recieved a call to take newborn to Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru as there was a hole in her heart.

Accordingly, she has to been shifted to Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru at 9.00 am for emergency treatment. So far 9 children have been taken at zero traffic speed in case of such an emergency. Two of these babies have died.

The child’s parents spoke to the Police officials and requested them to take the child in a vehicle for emergency treatment.

They also appealed to the police and the public to come forward to save lives by cooperating with the emergency vehicle in such an emergency situation.
