Hassan: Former Minister H. D. Revanna alleged that the State Lokayukta is completely under the control of the Government and the Hassan Lokayukta Office is defunct. Therefore, no action is being taken against the irregularities taking place in the Municipal Corporation, he said.
Demanding that the Deputy Commissioner should take immediate action against the mismanagement of the Municipal Corporation, Revanna said that Election Department Officer Chiranth, was not maintaining the voter ID properly and the names of thousands of voters were dropped last time also, he alleged.
Hassan Municipal Corporation administration is in a shambles and it is a matter of looting money that has been done in most of the localities of the City where cement roads were constructed only a few months ago and now they are putting asphalt on the roads that have been uprooted. Even after six months, the General Body Meeting has not been convened in the Municipal Corporation and complaints will be lodged against the Commissioner and other officials, he said.
