Hassan: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader Agile Yogesh alleged that it was not right for MLA Preetham Gowda to inaugurate many building and development works in the City in political interest even though the works have not been completed.
Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that MLA Preetham Gowda, who urged women voters to make him win with a lead of 50,000 has cheated women voters by giving them a metallic Goddess Lakshmi photo by saying that they are silver in the name of Ashta Lakshmi Puja. He warned that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will remove the flexes, banners and signboards named after MLA Gowda for the development work which was constructed with public tax money in defiance of the District Administration’s order.
Realising that the MLAs are in a hurry to inaugurate half-finished works, none of the Ministers, except for the two Ministers, have come to the task, he said, adding that the people of Hassan Constituency need to wake up and teach a lesson in the next elections.
Fearing defeat in the elections and realising that he will not be elected as an MLA in the next election, he is working to lay the foundation stone for the unfinished work, he said, adding that as a people’s representative, he should not mislead the people in this manner.
He warned that the District Administration and the Police Department should immediately wake up and remove the name plates installed with public money or else they will be removed by the AAP.
