Hassan: Kavya H. G., wife of BJP MLA and Hassan BJP candidate Preetham Gowda, have filed their nomination from Hassan Assembly constituency. They went to the taluk office along with the supporters and files their nomination from the BJP.
Preetham Gowda has already filed his nomination papers through a grand roadshow and now his wife Kavya H. G. has also filed her nomination. It is learnt that Kavya has also filed her nomination as a precautionary measure if Preetham Gowda’s nomination is rejected.
Kavya Preetham Gowda, who is a doctor by profession, has claimed that she has more assets than her husband Preetham Gowda and filed a total of two nominations, one from the BJP and one as an independent.
Preetham Gowda’s political move has sparked a lot of debate, with a wind of consensus blowing in the JD (S), which was a divided house on the one hand, and now Revanna’s family, including Bhavani Revanna in favour of JD (S) candidate Swaroop.
Congress candidate Banavase Rangaswamy succeeded in uniting all the Congress leaders who were like a divided house in the district and in Hassan, thousands of fans led a show of strength to prove the possibility of a triangular contest in Hassan.
On the whole, it is not only the unanimous show of strength of the opposition parties that has put Preetham Gowda to lose sleep as he thought he was on the verge of victory.
