Hassan: MLA C. N. Balakrishna opined that a positive atmosphere has been created to prevent accidents, ease vehicular traffic and maintain law and order after the opening of a Traffic Police Station in the Town.
Inaugurating the newly constructed Traffic Police Station building in the Town on Wednesday March 15, he said that Police Stations are being upgraded everywhere to maintain peace and order and in Channarayapatna Town also a new traffic Police Station was sanctioned. The Station was commissioned in 2016.
There is no dearth of police quarters in all the hoblis across the Taluk but there is a need for five quarters for police personnel to stay.
He said that 10 guntas of Government land on Nuggehalli Road adjacent to the bypass road will be transferred from the Revenue Department so that the vehicles which have been damaged and confiscated by all the Police Stations in the Town can be kept.
Hassan District Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar said that Channarayapattana Town is growing to the level of Hassan District and necessary steps have been taken to ensure that illegal activities so that peace and order is maintained.
