Savour aerial view of Jain Kashi with chopper rides in Shravanabelagola

Shravanabelagola: Heli-tourism, the special attraction of the Shravanabelagola Bahubali Mahamasthakabhisheka was launched on Wednesday. On the first day itself, hundreds of people savored the elegant scenes of Masthakabhisheka with a helicopter ride.

With the Heli-tourism facility, tourists can have a view of Vindhgiri, Bahubali statue, 14 ancient Basadis, Samrat Chandragupta Mourya Bhadrabahu caves, 12 sub-urban locations. Basadis around Shravanabelagola, shrines, masjids, Chikkadevaraja Wadeyar pond between two hills and all the beauty of the nature here.

The contract of Heli-tourism has been given to Bahubali Heli-tourism Company of Hubballi. The fixed price for 10 minutes of a ride is Rs.2,100 at present.

On Wednesday, more than 250 Non-resident Indians (NRIs) from USA, England, Germany, Kenya, Dubai, Brazil, Indonesia and other countries performed anointment with silver ‘Kalashas’ to Bahubali. London resident Sankighatta Naveen and his family members performed anointment in the water of Thames river of London.

NRIs are allowed to participate in the anointment even on February 22 (today), said NRI committee vice president on the occasion.
