Hassan: In a horrific incident, a car jumped the divider and collided with an oncoming Tempo Traveller near Herur Bypass on the National Highway 75, killing two people on the scene and injuring eight others.
Sunil (30) of Hole Narsipur Taluk of Hassan, who was driving the ill-fated Innova car, was one of the victims. The identity of the other deceased was not immediately known.
The Innova car was travelling from Bengaluru to Hassan, when the accident happened. According to sources, the driver lost control, hit the divider, jumped to the other side of the road, and collided with a Tempo Traveller carrying a wedding party from Nagamangala to Bengaluru.
The injured have been rushed to Adichunchanagiri Hospital. The car was completely destroyed in the accident.
