Shivamogga: The Doddapete police took strict measures against ambulances running without a permit on Wednesday, December 4.
While checking the Driving License (DL), Registration Certificate (RC) and address of the ambulance drivers, they found that 25 private ambulances were running without a permit and seized them.
The seized ambulances have been parked in the premises of the Doddapete Police Station.
Police sources have said that the decision to check the ambulances was made to ensure the safety of women after the horrific rape case in Hyderabad.
