Shivamogga: The dream of Congress Chief D. K. Shivakumar and former Chief Minister Siddaramaih of becoming next Chief Minister has been shattered by the State High Court order to suspend the Congress’ ambitious rally, Mekedatu padayatra, said Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj K. S Eshwarappa.
Speaking further, Eshwarappa said that Shivakumar’s experience in Tihar jail has taught him one or two things about law, and following the orders, he immediately cancelled the foot march. “Both Shivakumar’s and Siddu’s dreams of becoming CM have been shattered, he added.
“The Congress leaders have cancelled the padayatra fearing the court action. The leaders were not bothered about the people prior to the court’s observations,” he maintained.
