Shivamogga: The death of a man reportedly during police questioning has made way for many speculations. With this, the district Superintendent of Police has ordered a probe into the case to bring the truth to light.

It is said that Baleshwar/Balesh was working on his farmland in Agaradahalli of Holehonnur in the Bhadravathi taluk on Friday afternoon when the police took him away on charges of gambling.

“During questioning, Balesh collapsed and died. It is a clear case of lock up death,” alleged the deceased’s family members.

The case now has turned into a major headache for the police.

Superintendent of Police Dr Ashwini has, however, confirmed that this is not a lock up death and that Balesh died of a heart attack. She has said that the postmortem report will be out soon and the same will clear all the confusions.
