Miscreants attack BJP activist’s brother in Shivamogga

Shivamogga: A group of unidentified miscreants beat a man who is said to be the brother of a BJP activist in the city’s Gopala Extension on the evening of Thursday March 3.

The injured Venkatesh was taken to McGann Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

MP B. Y. Raghavendra made a visit to the hospital late in the evening to inquire about Venkatesh’s condition. Tunga Nagar police visited the site, and security was increased in sensitive areas.

Prohibitory orders have been enforced on the city as a result of the Harsha murder case under Section 144 of the CrPC. After 7.00 pm, all business establishments and people movement are restricted. The curbs were to be removed on March 4.
