The appeal letter stated that due to Covid – 19, Over 3 lakh people have already died in India. Up to 1.4 lakh children are said to be infected with coronavirus in the state. Corona Third Wave is said to target the youth.

Thus, NSUI urged the state government should take appropriate action in order to safeguard the future of the students. All UG and PG students should be admitted for the next semester. The Government should take appropriate steps to ensure that education continues without interruption.

A vaccine campaign should be conducted to vaccinate all students before starting UG and PG courses. Vaccination should be given to all persons above the age of 18 years.

Due to the Covid induced lockdown, many families are in distress. It is difficult for students to pay for their college and other fees.
