Shivamogga: In a rather bold statement, former CM and BJP State President, B S Yeddyurappa has said that his son and BJP candidate for Shivamogga LS bypolls BY Raghavendra has already won the elections, only the margin of victory is to be declared after elections.
Speaking to reporters about achievements of Raghavendra as MP and as an MLA, Yeddyurappa said that people of Shivamogga must stand by Raghavendra, just the way they backed him through his political career.
“The bypolls in three LS constituencies and two Assembly segments have grabbed the attention of the entire nation. The BJP’s victory is guaranteed,” he said adding that failure of the coalition government itself will bring victory to the BJP.
Opining that entire administrative mechanism of Karnataka is trying to defeat one Yeddyurappa, he said that the people of the state will teach opponents a good lesson.
Meanwhile, talking about insensitive remark against Siddaramaiah by Janardhan Reddy, BSY said that Reddy was wrong and must refrain from making such statements. However, he also said that Siddaramaiah, Devegowda and Mallikarjuna Kharge too have been making unacceptable statements against the PM, which too must stop.
