Shivamogga: After underworld fugitive Ravi Poojary threatened a jeweller in Shivamogga demanding Rs 25 Crore ransom, the police department has formed a special team to crack the case.
The jewellery shop owner had filed a complaint with Superintendent of Police Abhinav Kher, after he received threatening calls from Ravi Poojary demanding ransom.
The SP confirmed that police protection had been provided to the jewellery shop owner’s family and that the District Crime Investigation Bureau was investigating the case.
