Shivamogga: The State Police has launched an investigation into the illegal detection of prohibited satellite signals in the State’s coastal and forest areas of Chikkamagaluru, Mangaluru coast and Uttara Kannada Districts.
Speaking to the mediapersons here on Monday June 6, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that, “The State police are sharing information with the Centre’s IB agency staff and jointly investigating the operation of the banned satellite phone signal.”
The Central Intelligence Department has tracked the use of satellite phones in Mangaluru coast and certain areas in Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru District.
The Minister also said that there is an intensive investigation into who is behind the banned satellite phone operation and with whom the connection is made. State Internal Security Forces are investigating on this, he informed
