Shivamogga: Blind man dies after hit by train

Shivamogga: A blind man died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks here.

Shivamogga-Bengaluru demo train on Thursday January 26 at 1.00 pm ran over a 34-year-old youth who was crossing the track while he was passing near Hutta Colony in Bhadravathi at 1.30 pm.

The youth who died after being hit by the train has been identified as Mahesh. Mahesh could not see. It is being said he was also semi-deaf. A resident of 8th Cross in Ujjainipura, it is not known why he was in the spot.

Mahesh witnessed the tragic death as the train could not be seen and no sound was heard. The body has been handed over to his family. A complaint has been registered at the Railway Police Station.
