Shivamogga: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra, who is in Bengaluru, contacted District Forest Department Officials and asked them to catch the elephant as soon as they came to know about the presence of an elephant at Kuruvalli in Theerthahalli Taluk on Sunday January 1.

Further, he suggested that otherwise they should be driven to a far-flung forest and that the mahouts who need to catch them should use trained elephants, if required, and make proper arrangements to remove the anxiety among the people immediately.

Home Minister Araga Jnanendra is busy at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s programme, after which he will come to the Constituency, and therefore the people of the Constituency need not be afraid of the wild elephant menace.
