Shivamogga: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has promised to resolve the issue of Sharavati victims.

Speaking to the mediapersons after inaugurating State BJP’s training programme at a private resort here on Friday November 25, he said, “I have asked Deputy Commissioner to submit report by the third week of December to resolve the plight of the Sharavati victims. The winter session will be held in the third week of December. The report will be received and sent to the Central Government before this session, he added.

Further, he said that the BJP will solve the problems of the victims of the Sharavati Submergence. The report will be produced in the Court after obtaining the centre’s permission, he informed.

It can be recalled here that the court had said that the denotification of the residential and cultivable lands of the victims of the Sharavati submergence by the State Government was carried out without obtaining the order of the Central Government and hence the order is not right, it had ruled.

Speaking about the Cabinet expansion he said that, after the Gujarat elections will speak with High Command about the Cabinet expansion. He added that all media channels will be informed before the Cabinet expansion.

Voting will be held from March to May 2023. The results of the Gujarat elections will be announced after March 8. The CM’s statement that a decision will be taken after discussing with the High Command after Gujarat election has enthused many aspirants of the BJP.
