Shivamogga: Covid patients are being treated under state government’s Ayushman Bharat, a health care scheme through public hospitals and private hospitals. “Therefore, I urged all the private hospitals to get registered if they haven’t yet,” said Deputy Commissioner KB Shivakumar.
“Under the scheme, the government will cover the cost of covid patients admitted to private hospitals under government quota,” he said. Remdesivir injection is provided free of charge to patients in government quota and if they wish to go to a private hospital for treatment it is at their discretion and will have to pay the following amount as set by the government, he added.
While explaining the rate limit he said, “General Ward Rs 10,000, HDU Rs 12,000, Isolation ICU Rs 15,000 without ventilator, with ventilator Rs. 25,000.”
