Another Four Caught Smuggling MDMA From Bangalore

At Deralakatte, 270 grams of MDMA valued at Rs 6.50 lakh were found, and four persons have been taken into custody by Mangaluru’s Central Crime Branch (CCB) detectives.


In response to a tip that a car was carrying MDMA from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, CCB detectives apprehended the accused, according to Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal. Mohammed Ameen Rafi, 23, of Bejai; Mohammed Sinan Abdulla, 23, of Addoor; Mohammed Nauman, 22, of Bunder; and Mohammed Safeel, 23, of Boliyar are the individuals who have been taken into custody.

In addition, an automobile, a digital scale, and four cellphones have been found by the police. The entire amount of properties that were confiscated was Rs 14.85 lakh.

The CEN station has a case registered. According to the Commissioner, the people who were detained were obtaining drugs from Bengaluru and reselling them to members of the public as well as students in Kerala and Karnataka.

There are a few more participants in the scheme, and efforts are being made to find them.

The people who were detained were involved in the drug trade in order to live opulent lives. Mohammed Ameen Rafi, who was detained, was a party to an NDPS case at Mangaluru South Station in 2021.

Under the direction of CCB ACP Geetha Kulkarni, CCB Inspector Shyam Sundar H, PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, and other individuals carried out the raid.
