Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta and MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath expressed deep condolences over the demise of former Chief Minister S M Krishna.
Capt. Chowta called Krishna “a visionary leader whose administrative prowess set a benchmark.” He highlighted Krishna’s pivotal role in transforming Bengaluru into a global IT-BT hub, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to the nation.
MLA Kamath remembered Krishna as a “simple and virtuous politician” admired for his innovative reforms and contributions to Karnataka’s growth. He noted Krishna’s lasting impact as both CM and Union Minister, marking him as a guiding figure in Indian politics.
Krishna’s legacy as a statesman and reformer remains an inspiration to many.
Exam reschedule by Mangalore University
Following the state holiday declared on Wednesday, Mangalore University has postponed all undergraduate exams scheduled for December 11. Revised dates will be announced soon, according to Registrar Evaluation Dr. H. Devendrappa.
