Alert railway station personnel in Puttur rescued four boys who had escaped from their hostel and were attempting to travel to Bengaluru on July 13. The boys, who arrived at the ticket counter, asked for tickets to Bengaluru. Their unusual behavior raised suspicion, prompting the ticket counter personnel to notify the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the boys had run away from their hostel. The Puttur police were called to the scene, and they successfully persuaded the boys to stay at the station while their parents were contacted. The parents arrived shortly afterward and took the boys home.
Senior tech personnel Kumar, Wasim Syed, Vasant, and Malashree of Puttur railway station played a crucial role in assisting with the rescue operation. Their vigilance and prompt action ensured the boys’ safety and prevented them from potentially facing dangerous situations.
