Mysuru: The members of Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruthi Vedike, District Kumbara Sangha and other backwards welfare associations came together and condemned Member of Parliament Pratap Simha for his loose talk against senior Congress leader and former minister H Vishwanath.
Few days ago Pratap Simha had come down heavily on Vishwanath against the latter’s statement on Narendra Modi which had not only hurt the sentiments of Vishwanath’s followers but also many senior politicians from different political parties.
Addressing media persons at Press Club here on Wednesday C T Acharya, President of District Vishwakarma Maha Mandali said, “Vishwanath during his tenure as minister had come out with various welfare programmes including midday meal and Yashasvini health insurance scheme for the welfare of people. For the past two years, as a member of parliament what’s the contribution of Pratap Simha towards the people? With no respect for senior leaders, he comes out with loose talk. These loose talks will not damage the image of Vishwanath but shows the true colour of Pratap Simha. Simha should also understand that by such talks he is spoiling his own image. People are now realising the mistake they have committed by voted for him. In days to come, if he continues like this, he will face the consequences”.
Dalit leader P Raju who also spoke on the occasion called upon Pratap Simha to take up the welfare programmes instead of wasting time in speaking disrespectfully against senior leaders like Vishwanath. “Even after two years of tenure as Member of Parliament, Simha has failed to visit many places in his constituency” added P Raju.
President of District Kumbarara Sangha H S Prakash and K S Shivaram, President of Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruthi Vedike were also present.
