Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old married man impregnated a minor girl aged around 16 after sexually assaulting her at Benakanahalli in Mysuru.
The accused is identified as Virupaksha.
It is learnt that the accused sexually assaulted the girl at her home after promising her marriage. It is said that Virupaksha was sexually harassing the girl from the past one year while her parents were away from home.
This incident came to light after the girl was taken to a hospital for treatment as she fell ill. While parents inquired about the issue, the girl revealed that Virupaksha had sexually assaulted her.
A case has been registered in T Narasipura Police Station. Police are in search of the accused. It is also learnt that Virupaksha is married and has a one year old son.
