Mysuru: In an episode of sheer cruelty, a five-year-old boy who has the habit of bed-wetting was being subjected to torturous measures by his own father in a bid to curb his habit. However, alert Anganwadi workers have come to the rescue of the boy.
It is said that a 50-year-old coolie worker from Periyapatna has been tying rubber around the private organ of the little boy just to avoid the mats getting wet when the boy passes urine in sleep!
Though the boy has been facing this torture since some time, the issue came to light only about a week ago, when the boy joined a local Anganwadi.
The teacher and helper at the Anganwadi noticed severe infection in the boy’s private part and while probing the boy revealed the truth. Instantly, the Santhwana Helpline volunteers were called in, who rushed the little boy for medical help. He has been forwarded to Bala Mandira at present. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against his father under the Juvenile Justice Act.
