Mysuru: Kodagu Mysuru MP Pratap Simha on Wednesday December 29 said that State Government introduced Anti-Conversion Bill to prevent conversion by fraud.

Speaking to mediapersons here he said that  Christians should not make Christianity a sale. He said the companies adopt business tactics to sell their products and they should not adopt the same tactics to convert people. He said the bill is not against any community and BJP is also not against Christians but the  missionaries who are involved in conversions are  luring people saying that Jesus Christ would cure their diseases if they pray to him.

He challenged saying that don’t construct hospitals instead construct churches and prove that prayer can cure diseases. He said  missionaries take the patients to churches who at the final stage of cure are made to pray. After the cure they claim prayer is really powerful hence Jesus cured them. He said such lure and drama would not work in future. He said in European countries people are not going to churches and many churches are being sold hence missionaries have come to India and are indulged in conversions.

Reacting to media query over Rangayana row said “Rangayana since many years has been under the clutches of leftists, who portrayed the repertory as if it belongs to left ideology. Rangayana is a theatre hub and must be a platform for both left and right wing ideologies. After Addanda Cariyappa took over the reins, Rangayana fostered creativity, while it supported Congress earlier backing every anti-national activities, Pratap Simha claimed.
